EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover etc might have slight wear/creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear on the sleeve etc.
GOOD (G): The records sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with distortion and mild scratches. The sleeve etc may be folded, scuffed, split or discoloured.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable, but displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The sleeve may be torn, stained or defaced.
All of the above gradings may have either "+" or "-" to reflect their condition more accurately.
Wherever possible we listen to the vinyl to give an accurate appraisal of it's condition. Due to a lack of time available some records will have been visually graded.
